Catching up...

I know, I know...it's been awhile since my last post, but in my defense it has been crazy around  here!!!

The past month has been non-stop for Robbie and me. School, of course, has been the culprit. However finals are over for me and Robbie will be done Friday afternoon. So besides the stressful late nights what has changed in our lives since October??

Well,

Robbie is growing a mustache!!!!

...plus there is a little eggnog there too.

we also celebrated our birthdays in November!! Party!! Which I have no pictures of because they were on our camera which is not with me right now haha .....but we will get some up asap!! Our birthdays were great and we had so much fun!! Thanks to everyone for our gifts!!

We went to California for Thanksgiving and we had a great time!! It was great to see the family!! I had so much fun cooking! I made amazing cranberry sauce, delicious sweet  potatos (so great even mom ate them!!), and two pies (one peacan and one lemon)!!! YUM!!

After about a week after we got home we decorated the house for Christmas for an FHE activity!! Here are some pics of our adorable living room!!

Success!!

So some of you may know I am taking a sewing class this semester. Well, tomorrow our 2nd project is due and I am very proud of my work. I really do feel accomplished!! Our first project was a pillowcase...

This was my finished product!!! Like I said, so proud! And I got an A. That is just the icing on the cake! Within the last week I stated and finished my next project--pajama pants!! I decided to go with a Christmas theme and know that I have made my first pair I am going to make Robbie a matching pair! We will be so cute hahaha

Here they are! Then fit and everything, in fact, I am wearing them right now!! Next we make a button-down, collared blouse. Should be interesting!  Tomorrow I make doughnuts in my baking class! I am so excited for that!! YUM!! I will keep you updated!

That's all for now! :)

Today was a Win!!

So I took my practical midterm today.....and it went great!!

I don't know what my grade is, but my teacher seemed to like my french bread and I saw him circle a lot of tens!! Yay!! I'll try to get a picture before Robbie eats it all :)

Oh and speaking of Robbie!! He got back his first Microbiology test today! He is so smart! He got an.....A!!   Woo Robbie!!! A 97.5% to be exact!! :) He is the best, I really am so proud of him, he studies so much! He  has a great future ahead of him...as long as he doesn't get clogged arteries  and gain a 100 pounds from all my awesome french bread!!! :)

Welcome Back to Reality :)

Hey everyone!!

I know it has been a really long time since my last post and I have been thinking about posting for awhile now, but there is always a reason not to. Like, it has been to log I will have to write so much or we just saw everyone this summer and they know about everything that is going on and the list goes on, but here I am doing it, your welcome.

So I can't believe it is almost midterms already. This week is week 5 of 12 weeks. Six is technically midterms, but I already have one tomorrow!! I know I should be studying, but look I found a way to put it off a little longer. I am taking 16 credits this semester and three of my classes have three hour labs so needless to say it has been crazy! Robbie has been an amazing help lately with making dinners and helping keep the house clean. As always Robbie is amazing! Plus you know crock pots are a gift from heaven! I love my crock pot so much! If anyone has any good crock pot recipes, let me know please! My classes have been a lot of fun despite the lack of me time. I have my first midterm tomorrow and I am so nervous, ugh and then another on Thursday. Wish me luck! However, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I graduate in July! I will get the dates for you all!

Robbie loves his classes. He says they are hard, but he really seems into them. He always has something fun that he learned in class to share and it is usually gross. He doesn't seem to love Organic Chem. That is probably the class he likes the least, but studies for the most. Once in a while I will help with flash cards or something. He seems very happy especially with Microbiology, which is good right since that's his major :)

Last weekend we went to Utah, not for general conference (we didn't have tickets), but for Robbie's mission reunion! We were both pretty excited! I spent all day Friday cleaning the house and the car and packing us both and we hit the road with 3 other people we didn't know, but carpooled with from the school bulletin board for help with gas money. By the time we go into Utah the traffic was crazy due to 3 accidents and we didn't end up in Provo until the reunion was over :/ lame. On the brightside Robbie and I hung out together all day Saturday and really had a great time joking around and being silly. We went to a free Jazz game in the afternoon which was cool :)  That night Robbie took me to Maddox in Brigham City which was delicious even though they were out of Prime Rib. lame. We were so full and tired after there was no way we could drive the two hours home so we stopped for the night at a Howard Johnson, but no one told me that this a chain motel that is known to be sketchy and dumpy--whatever it was cheap! It certainly was an adventure and we had a great weekend. Conference was great!

We love and miss you all!!

Time flies when you're having fun...or when your really busy

Wow time really has flown! I can't believe it is March already. We just finished midterms and I don't think either of are completely satisfied with where our grades are right now.  Robbie registers form Spring semester Friday and I register next Monday...so weird. This month is going to be crazy so don't be surprised if I don't post again until April, but I am hoping to have an update before that. Nothing too exciting is going on with us right now, just finishing up the last 5 weeks of classes. Hopefully the fam will be coming up and the end of the month to visit. I've really been missing my family lately, I can't wait to be done here so we can move closer to family! :)

Robbie taught a lesson today on self-reliance in Priesthood. He showed me everything and it looked fantastic, but no surprises there! I am really excited to start a food storage and a 72 hour kit. I've also been really into family history lately and I would really like to take some names to the temple. There are a few that are close, but there are a lot more men's names that are ready to take to the temple than women's. So better get to work! I got a new calling a few weeks ago, I am now the Primary music coordinator! It is actually pretty fun. I was pretty worried, but now that I have been doing it for two weeks I am not so worried, plus our primary only has like 6 kids (and our primary is combined with another ward) and the nursery has 4, so it isn't that many kids.

So I have read 17 books total so far and I think I will finish number 18 today. This is easy peassy haha I am really excited about my children's lit class next semester. I can't wait to be a mommy, I have been thinking a lot about kids lately, maybe its just because I am in Primary, but those little kids in there are just so sweet and crazy, but I know when it is our time we will be more than ready for those sweet little spirits to part of our family. It is interesting, I don't know who they will be, but I already love each and everyone. As of right now I am grateful for the time I have with just Robbie and me. We are having a great time as just our little family of two. We are working on good habits of reading the scriptures and having family home evening every week. Plus I am very blessed to be able to get my education, I can't believe I am going to graduate in a year! I will only be 20...strange, but i love and wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh and I cut my hair!! I will post a picture of it :)

Crazy busy life

I know, I know it has been way too long since my last post, but trust me things have insane! We are about a month into the new semester and Robbie and I are both busier than we ever have been.

Robbie is taking his second semester of Chemistry, intro level biology, a Portuguese class, family foundations (with me!) and foundations capstone (a decision making class which is usually your last foundations class). He stays pretty busy with his chem and bio most of the time.

I have started to dive into Upper level English classes. I have 3 English class: Language theory/grammar, Literary interpretation, and young adult literature. Then I am taking SCI 204 which is basically an exercise physiology class and, of course, family foundations. I stay really busy reading for YA lit. I have read 10 books already, just 15 more to go! I have recently found out that I can graduate in 1 year! That would be awesome! I would have 3 semesters of classes and one semester of student teaching. It would be 17 credits a semester and very hard, but I want to do it. July 2013 here I come! It would be nice to be a college graduate at 20--and impressive if i do say so myself!

Also we are considering a job in Alaska this summer.  We had an interview and Thursday and then a call back interview on Saturday and we should know by the end of the week if we have the job. It would from July 21st to September 9th. 7 weeks and 60 hours a week x2 + no expenses + beautiful scenery = a dang good opportunity. And the pay is pretty good. This could be a really awesome experience for us before I graduate and get as job and then down the road comes kids, this could be once in a lifetime! We are hoping for the best!

Baby Lola is doing. She grow more and more sneaky everyday. She has know learned how to open the door when Robbie doesn't latch it closed and likes to run into our room at full speed and screeching to a stop just far enough under the bed so we can't reach her from either side. She also likes to run out of the house when ever the back door gets opened and run underneath our neighbor's car. She likes to taunt us.She had a vet appt at the end of January and the vet deemed her very healthy. She weighed 5 lbs and will be going in for her spay at the end of this month! Poor baby Lola. Well she is about 5 months old now, so not a baby in cat years :)

We hope to soon try freezer meals like Jessica did, I am really excited about that. Last night was the Superbowl and the Giants won,  and we had a party at our neighbors house. I made pot stickers (from a bag) and homemade cupcakes with homemade frosting and homemade football cookies. They took a long time, but it was a lot of fun!

That's all for now :)
I will post a picture of the cupcakes later.
