Catching Up

Yes, Its been awhile...sorry! Quick catch up. The semester will be over in three weeks, things are staring to get crazy! Our computers both broke about three weeks ago..so I have a real excuse for not blogging. I am super excited to go home on Apirl 11th after the semester ends!! Robbie will be staying here :( to study for the MCAT which he takes in Boise on April 27th. Scary and exciting all at the same time!!

Robbie's brother D'Angelo got engaged last month to his girlfriend Alex!! I am so excited for them!! It has been taking me back to when Robbie and I got married almost two years ago! It is all a great adventure and they will love it!! They are getting married on August 3rd in Mesa, Arizona, we are so excited!

I recently signed up for my last semester of classes!!! I cannot believe I am graduating in July!! It really is exciting and awesome! I will have my bachelor's degree in University Studies with focuses in English, Culinary Arts, and Home & Family. This degree was a lot of fun and I have learned a lot! I can't wait for my next chapter!! I will be graduating on July 23rd!!

Wow! A lot has happened recently! I didn't even realize it!! More to come soon....I promise, for real! We won't be getting our new computer for at least 3 more weeks according to the online tracking, but I will find a way!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year everyone!!

Yeah I know...its a little late, it always is. Today's post is going to be a little short on the account that have some homework to get done. Robbie and I are back in school... hooray :) Since school has started all I can think about is July 23rd the day I graduate, despite the fact that I have great classes. So I have decided to start a count down...there are 181 days until I graduate from college!! Woo! (also about 6 months)

In other news Robbie and I are trying to shed some extra poundage and really be healthier. So we are kind of getting a slow start to this so if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. How you shed your unwanted 10-20 lbs or anything you know that works! Please!

So we have some goals for the New Year, but I don't even know where they are...oops. I should probably know them by heart right? haha Well Robbie's better at this sort of thing than I am... However I have a feeling that 2013 is going to be the best year yet!

Well that's what's going on at the Bagley's house...Hope everyone has a great short week!!

Catching up...

I know, I know...it's been awhile since my last post, but in my defense it has been crazy around  here!!!

The past month has been non-stop for Robbie and me. School, of course, has been the culprit. However finals are over for me and Robbie will be done Friday afternoon. So besides the stressful late nights what has changed in our lives since October??

Well,

Robbie is growing a mustache!!!!

...plus there is a little eggnog there too.

we also celebrated our birthdays in November!! Party!! Which I have no pictures of because they were on our camera which is not with me right now haha .....but we will get some up asap!! Our birthdays were great and we had so much fun!! Thanks to everyone for our gifts!!

We went to California for Thanksgiving and we had a great time!! It was great to see the family!! I had so much fun cooking! I made amazing cranberry sauce, delicious sweet  potatos (so great even mom ate them!!), and two pies (one peacan and one lemon)!!! YUM!!

After about a week after we got home we decorated the house for Christmas for an FHE activity!! Here are some pics of our adorable living room!!

So that's our decorations! It was a fun and messy night haha Next, we are off to Arizona for Christmas and we are excited!! This will be first Christmas away from my family so I'm a little sad, but on the other hand I am excited to expirence Christmas at the Bagley home!! Robbie has told me about their family tradtions and they sound fun to me!! Can't wait!!

That's all for now!

Success!!

So some of you may know I am taking a sewing class this semester. Well, tomorrow our 2nd project is due and I am very proud of my work. I really do feel accomplished!! Our first project was a pillowcase...

This was my finished product!!! Like I said, so proud! And I got an A. That is just the icing on the cake! Within the last week I stated and finished my next project--pajama pants!! I decided to go with a Christmas theme and know that I have made my first pair I am going to make Robbie a matching pair! We will be so cute hahaha

Here they are! Then fit and everything, in fact, I am wearing them right now!! Next we make a button-down, collared blouse. Should be interesting!  Tomorrow I make doughnuts in my baking class! I am so excited for that!! YUM!! I will keep you updated!

That's all for now! :)

Today was a Win!!

So I took my practical midterm today.....and it went great!!

I don't know what my grade is, but my teacher seemed to like my french bread and I saw him circle a lot of tens!! Yay!! I'll try to get a picture before Robbie eats it all :)

Oh and speaking of Robbie!! He got back his first Microbiology test today! He is so smart! He got an.....A!!   Woo Robbie!!! A 97.5% to be exact!! :) He is the best, I really am so proud of him, he studies so much! He  has a great future ahead of him...as long as he doesn't get clogged arteries  and gain a 100 pounds from all my awesome french bread!!! :)

Welcome Back to Reality :)

Hey everyone!!

I know it has been a really long time since my last post and I have been thinking about posting for awhile now, but there is always a reason not to. Like, it has been to log I will have to write so much or we just saw everyone this summer and they know about everything that is going on and the list goes on, but here I am doing it, your welcome.

So I can't believe it is almost midterms already. This week is week 5 of 12 weeks. Six is technically midterms, but I already have one tomorrow!! I know I should be studying, but look I found a way to put it off a little longer. I am taking 16 credits this semester and three of my classes have three hour labs so needless to say it has been crazy! Robbie has been an amazing help lately with making dinners and helping keep the house clean. As always Robbie is amazing! Plus you know crock pots are a gift from heaven! I love my crock pot so much! If anyone has any good crock pot recipes, let me know please! My classes have been a lot of fun despite the lack of me time. I have my first midterm tomorrow and I am so nervous, ugh and then another on Thursday. Wish me luck! However, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I graduate in July! I will get the dates for you all!

Robbie loves his classes. He says they are hard, but he really seems into them. He always has something fun that he learned in class to share and it is usually gross. He doesn't seem to love Organic Chem. That is probably the class he likes the least, but studies for the most. Once in a while I will help with flash cards or something. He seems very happy especially with Microbiology, which is good right since that's his major :)

Last weekend we went to Utah, not for general conference (we didn't have tickets), but for Robbie's mission reunion! We were both pretty excited! I spent all day Friday cleaning the house and the car and packing us both and we hit the road with 3 other people we didn't know, but carpooled with from the school bulletin board for help with gas money. By the time we go into Utah the traffic was crazy due to 3 accidents and we didn't end up in Provo until the reunion was over :/ lame. On the brightside Robbie and I hung out together all day Saturday and really had a great time joking around and being silly. We went to a free Jazz game in the afternoon which was cool :)  That night Robbie took me to Maddox in Brigham City which was delicious even though they were out of Prime Rib. lame. We were so full and tired after there was no way we could drive the two hours home so we stopped for the night at a Howard Johnson, but no one told me that this a chain motel that is known to be sketchy and dumpy--whatever it was cheap! It certainly was an adventure and we had a great weekend. Conference was great!

We love and miss you all!!

Time flies when you're having fun...or when your really busy

Wow time really has flown! I can't believe it is March already. We just finished midterms and I don't think either of are completely satisfied with where our grades are right now.  Robbie registers form Spring semester Friday and I register next Monday...so weird. This month is going to be crazy so don't be surprised if I don't post again until April, but I am hoping to have an update before that. Nothing too exciting is going on with us right now, just finishing up the last 5 weeks of classes. Hopefully the fam will be coming up and the end of the month to visit. I've really been missing my family lately, I can't wait to be done here so we can move closer to family! :)

Robbie taught a lesson today on self-reliance in Priesthood. He showed me everything and it looked fantastic, but no surprises there! I am really excited to start a food storage and a 72 hour kit. I've also been really into family history lately and I would really like to take some names to the temple. There are a few that are close, but there are a lot more men's names that are ready to take to the temple than women's. So better get to work! I got a new calling a few weeks ago, I am now the Primary music coordinator! It is actually pretty fun. I was pretty worried, but now that I have been doing it for two weeks I am not so worried, plus our primary only has like 6 kids (and our primary is combined with another ward) and the nursery has 4, so it isn't that many kids.

So I have read 17 books total so far and I think I will finish number 18 today. This is easy peassy haha I am really excited about my children's lit class next semester. I can't wait to be a mommy, I have been thinking a lot about kids lately, maybe its just because I am in Primary, but those little kids in there are just so sweet and crazy, but I know when it is our time we will be more than ready for those sweet little spirits to part of our family. It is interesting, I don't know who they will be, but I already love each and everyone. As of right now I am grateful for the time I have with just Robbie and me. We are having a great time as just our little family of two. We are working on good habits of reading the scriptures and having family home evening every week. Plus I am very blessed to be able to get my education, I can't believe I am going to graduate in a year! I will only be 20...strange, but i love and wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh and I cut my hair!! I will post a picture of it :)

Crazy busy life

I know, I know it has been way too long since my last post, but trust me things have insane! We are about a month into the new semester and Robbie and I are both busier than we ever have been.

Robbie is taking his second semester of Chemistry, intro level biology, a Portuguese class, family foundations (with me!) and foundations capstone (a decision making class which is usually your last foundations class). He stays pretty busy with his chem and bio most of the time.

I have started to dive into Upper level English classes. I have 3 English class: Language theory/grammar, Literary interpretation, and young adult literature. Then I am taking SCI 204 which is basically an exercise physiology class and, of course, family foundations. I stay really busy reading for YA lit. I have read 10 books already, just 15 more to go! I have recently found out that I can graduate in 1 year! That would be awesome! I would have 3 semesters of classes and one semester of student teaching. It would be 17 credits a semester and very hard, but I want to do it. July 2013 here I come! It would be nice to be a college graduate at 20--and impressive if i do say so myself!

Also we are considering a job in Alaska this summer.  We had an interview and Thursday and then a call back interview on Saturday and we should know by the end of the week if we have the job. It would from July 21st to September 9th. 7 weeks and 60 hours a week x2 + no expenses + beautiful scenery = a dang good opportunity. And the pay is pretty good. This could be a really awesome experience for us before I graduate and get as job and then down the road comes kids, this could be once in a lifetime! We are hoping for the best!

Baby Lola is doing. She grow more and more sneaky everyday. She has know learned how to open the door when Robbie doesn't latch it closed and likes to run into our room at full speed and screeching to a stop just far enough under the bed so we can't reach her from either side. She also likes to run out of the house when ever the back door gets opened and run underneath our neighbor's car. She likes to taunt us.She had a vet appt at the end of January and the vet deemed her very healthy. She weighed 5 lbs and will be going in for her spay at the end of this month! Poor baby Lola. Well she is about 5 months old now, so not a baby in cat years :)

We hope to soon try freezer meals like Jessica did, I am really excited about that. Last night was the Superbowl and the Giants won,  and we had a party at our neighbors house. I made pot stickers (from a bag) and homemade cupcakes with homemade frosting and homemade football cookies. They took a long time, but it was a lot of fun!

That's all for now :)
I will post a picture of the cupcakes later.

The end and the beginning!!

It has been way to long since my last post! Sorry! Things have just been so crazy, I haven't had a lot of time to even think what has been going on, but school is over now!! We made it through finals!!

I am VERY nervous about my grades, well just one. I have an 89% and I really just need the A- to get a 3.7 so I can get an academic scholarship! The rest of my classes are fine all A's except one, so bummed, I really wanted straight A's :( maybe next semester. I have three English classes next semester and I am particularly excited for my young adult literature class! I have 8 novels to read in 12 or 13 weeks, so that should be interesting, but I am going to do it because they all look like pretty good books and I am excited to do it. So here are the classes I am taking: Young Adult Literature 356, Foundations of Literary Interpretation 251, Language Theory- Grammar/ Usage 325, Family Foundations 200, and The American Epidemic 204 (Exercise science class). Little nervous about that last class. Robbie said my teacher is kind of a grump. Robbie took it last winter and said it was kind of hard, but he is going to help me so maybe and I survive! haha

Robbie says his grades are going pretty good, but he hasn't given me details yet. Final grades are due sometime next week, so we will know then. Next semester he is starting biology classes and is really excited about it. He is taking: Biology 180, Language 400 (for his Portuguese cluster), Chemistry 106 (continuation of what he just finished), Family Foundations 200 (we're in the same class!), and Foundations Capstone 250. Next semester should be a crazy one for us!

Today we took Lola to the Vet again. She got another booster shot and dewormer. The vet also noticed she has ear mites (yay!) so she was treated with that and they should all gone by the end of the week. She is 13 weeks old now and has more then doubled in weight! She weighs 3.3 pounds! She must eat well! Then Robbie and I went to buy our books, so expensive! But we were smart and bought out books before they pull books for the 200+ people who reserved them, so we got the cream of the crop :)

This Thursday we are leaving to go to California for Christmas, so excited!!! I can't believe how close Christmas is. Its crazy how time flies. I am so excited to see my friends and family, its been too long! Before we go we will get in a few full days at work so that will be nice.

Well, that's all for now! Love, Robbie and Janelle

New and Exciting Times!!

I know it has been quite a while since my last post, two week to be exact, so I thought I would give a quick update on our lives.

This week is going to be crazy. Robbie and I both have a ton of stuff to do. Robbie turned his big research paper in on Saturday, and mine is due Wednesday with the final on Friday. Once I get that paper done I will start to feel better, but my online class are not taking a break for Thanksgiving, So i am going to have to avoid all procrastination and work my tail off if I want to relax next week. Robbie I think is having the same problem. He has a lot of chemistry work and it just takes a lot of time. He has been pretty stressed out and I know he is looking forward to next week, we both are! I'm just excited it ditch the coats and relax in 70 degree weather! Woo hoo!

Exciting news!  Last week Robbie found these stray kittens at the dairy and Talon said that he was going to just  see if they could survive, and Robbie, being the animal lover that he is, couldn't let them stay outside and freeze so he brought them home. Saturday we decided to take one to the animal shelter for many reasons, but we also decided to keep the little girl! Her name is Lola, she is eight weeks old and the most adorable thing in the world!! We took her to the vet and started her shots, got her de-wormed and she had a check up. She is very healthy and weighs a whole 1.5 pounds! Then we took her to PetSmart and got her a bed, a collar, a scratching post and toys, and food. She is a spoiled little baby, but oh so cute!! She is white with grey ears a grey tail, little raccoon eyes, and bight blue eyes that I swear look into your soul! I will post some pictures later, but we are so excited to have her as a member of our family! So precious. Good practice for a baby. hahaha

Well that's all that is new with us, just trying to stay warm :)

Love you all, the Bagleys
